My YouTube journey started way back in 09, with my first guitar cover going live on January 8, 2009.
I spent years making 'normal' guitar and vocal covers, but things changed in 2020 when I uploaded my first cover with on screen tabs, CKY's "Flesh Into Gear." I instantly fell in love with figuring out and covering CKY's music, and that's how TabCore was born. As a CKY fan since 2001, I'm dedicated to figuring out every single song, one by one.

Many of my recent YouTube covers include live tabs on screen, offering you a free and easy way to learn the songs.

On YouTube, I usually release a new cover approximately every 5 to 6 weeks.
For members, TabCore is less about a strict upload schedule and more about extra access, bonus content and supporting the project. I still post member content regularly, but I do not want it to turn into a forced weekly quota. I want the stuff I make here to stay fun, useful and worth watching.

As a member, you have a lot of influence! You can vote for your favorite songs in the regular polls I do, and the winner will be the song I cover next and of course make tabs for.
99% of CKY songs are in D Standard. There are a few exceptions like 96 Quite Bitter Beings, Lost in a Contraption, Testing / Test It Out and some other older stuff.
My personal favorite tuning is Dropped C though.

I get asked this so often haha! The guys in CKY have always used and still use the Boss OC 2 pedal. I use my Axe Fx II and made a preset that comes really close to that classic sound in my opinion. You can find and buy my CKY Axe Fx preset right here.
No generative AI is used to make TabCore videos, tabs, covers, animations or guitar parts.
Sad that this has to be said these days, but here we are. I’m a videographer, editor and guitarist. Making videos, animations, tabs and covers myself is the whole point of TabCore. Using AI to generate any of that would completely defeat the purpose.
Everything here is filmed, edited, animated, played, checked and put together by me.
For some songs, before recording the cover, I occasionally use Moises purely as a listening and reference tool when figuring out guitar parts by ear. I’m careful about this stuff. Moises uses AI to separate existing audio into stems, so musicians can practice, study and transcribe parts more clearly. I do not use it to create new music from artists’ work or replace the actual creative process.
That distinction matters a lot to me.
Hearing Rage Against the Machine around age 7 or 8 sparked my interest. Then I discovered a ton of punk, rock, and metal through video game soundtracks, like CKY's "96 Quite Bitter Beings" in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 and In Flames' "Embody the Invisible" in Tony Hawk's Underground. In Flames became my favorite band, and their melodic sound led me to discover Children of Bodom and Lamb of God. Ultimately, Children of Bodom's lead guitarist and vocalist, Alexi Laiho, inspired me to pick up the guitar.
I still listen to these bands, but my favorites have changed!
While I love CKYCKY.LOGFavorite record: Carver CityFavorite song currently: Shock and Terror and they're a huge influence, they're not actually my absolute favorite. To be honest, I'm more of a metal guy at heart, especially into metalcore, deathcore, djent, technical metal, melodic death metal and some newer death metal.

But if I have to pick one favorite band it has to be August Burns RedAUGUST_BURNS_RED.LOGFavorite record: Constellations. HANDS DOWNFavorite song forever: Meddler. I've been listening to them since they released Meddler as a single in 2009 and I've been a fan ever since. They never disappoint and the guys in the band are the nicest dudes in a band I've ever met.
I also listen to a lot of other genres of music including jazz, blues, Lo Fi and synthwave.
